Keep Clicking It
The easiest way to keep your car insurance costs down is to obey traffic laws and stay away from tickets.
Over a 14 day period in May and June of this year, the state of North Carolina cited more than 12,000 drivers and passengers for seat belt and child passenger safety violations.
The attention that missing seat-belts brought helped officers catch more than 2,000 impaired drivers and over 7,200 criminals with violations for drugs, stolen cars and fugitives that are now captured.
The N.C. Governor’s Highway Safety Program’s “Click It Or Ticket” campaign’s 6,700 check points may not be patrolled all year long, but the habit of putting on your seat-belt is one that should. Not only are you following the law as you should, but you are helping to keep you personal expenses down both in fines and insurance premiums.
